Tungsten Wedding Bands - Hammer Test

Titanium Jewelry Hammer Test - Tungsten Wedding Bands

Tungsten Wedding Bands

My fiancé and I just purchased a couple of tungsten carbide wedding bands for our upcoming wedding, and we are very happy with them. One of the biggest reasons that many people choose tungsten wedding bands is because, as the video shows above, it is a metal that doesn't scratch or ding. However Tungsten wedding bands can still be removed in the case of an emergency (a real plus in this world). It was for these reasons and more that my fiance and I settled on Tungsten wedding bands.

Tungsten wedding bands - Tungsten versus Tungsten Carbide

One of the first things that my fiancé and I read when we were researching Tungsten wedding bands was to look carefully before purchasing. Some companies apparently market Tungsten wedding bands that aren't actually tungsten carbide, but are a cheaper alloy of metals including tungsten. These so called Tungsten wedding bands are not scratch and ding resistant like true tungsten wedding bands made from tungsten carbide, so make sure you read carefully before ordering a tungsten wedding band.

Tungsten wedding bands - lifetime warranty

The tungsten wedding bands that my fiancé and I finally chose to purchase both came with a lifetime warranty which I think should be a must with any tungsten wedding bands that you choose to purchase. After all, if the tungsten wedding band really is scratch and break resistant then the company should never have to replace it, so they should be totally willing to guarantee their bands, right? Also, the tungsten wedding bands we ordered came with a free resizing option if for some reason when they arrived they were not the right fit.

Tungsten wedding bands - online versus in store, wholesale versus retail

The last aspect for my fiancé and me was cost; we wanted an option for tungsten wedding bands that was inexpensive but without sacrificing quality. The answer for us was to shop wholesale online. We looked at a few tungsten wedding bands in store, and some on big name retail websites, and those bands would have cost us hundreds of dollars. In the end we ended up paying less than $200 dollars combined for the two bands we selected. I feel we got a really good quality deal. I hope that in the next few decades I continue to feel that way about our tungsten wedding bands.
